Celtic Connections: An Tobar Sessions with Colin MacIntyre, Dave Milligan Trio & Aidan O’Rourke
At this year’s world-renowned Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow, AN TOBAR is showcasing three of its most recent musical commissions. Fiddler, Aidan O’Rourke, jazz pianist, Dave Milligan and Mull’s own Colin MacIntyre come together to provide an evening which truly demonstrates the energy and inspiration that Mull has offered to some of Scotland’s foremost musicians. This is the place to be to hear these diverse pieces come together on stage for the first time! The evening will also include a brand new joint commission from Aidan O’Rourke and Dave Milligan.

Mhairi Killin tours to Shetland, Inverness & Glasgow
ABSENT VOICES by Mhairi Killin was commissioned by An Tobar in 2009 and provided audiences with a glimpse into the processes and practice of one of Scotland’s most exciting emerging artists. Crossing boundaries between traditional crafts and contemporary visual arts, the exhibition explores themes of identity, archaeology, memory and journeying and investigates the traditions and heritage of one of Scotland’s most significant, beautiful and remote locations. The show will be touring to Bonhoga Gallery in Shetland (9 Jan – 7 Feb), Inverness Museum and Art Gallery (27 Mar- 24 Apr) and Collins Gallery in Glasgow (28 May-26 June).
