Assertiveness Skills

Course Overview

This is an introductory course for any member of staff who wishes to improve their communication skills in situations which they find difficult. Assertiveness allows people to express themselves with clarity and authority. By the end of the course you will have a clearer understanding of why you find some situations difficult. You will discover ways to plan and carry through those encounters more effectively.

Course Description

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

  • Identify two types of inappropriate reactions and behaviour and their causes,
  • Detail the three steps of assertiveness: think right, say it right and behave right,
  • Identify three assertiveness skills they will utilise to promote more effective communications in their work place.
