Bringing people together for a community event and showcasing our local talent and culture is central to fostering confident communities.
Often local events help kick-start a broader programme of community action by getting people working together, increasing participation and boosting membership of community groups. Relatively small amounts of funding can have a significant impact.
Open to constituted community groups, the Cultural Support scheme aims to support small-scale events across the cultural spectrum from the arts, culture and heritage activity.
