Artist's Statement"My current studio practice is a balance of installation work, and drawing/painting. My work is generally related to text and information, physical space and time, and various autobiographical matters... All of the work is made of humble materials such as brown paper bags or craft paper, ink, acrylic paint, cotton postal cord, packing tape, and Velcro. The value of the work is not in its materials, but in the exchange that occurs between the viewer, the piece, and the ensuing conversation." |

Wednesday 6 June 2007 - Blog As I passed this stone house for the first time I was curious about what the view might be from the window. I undertook the job of clearing it so that the view would be accessible. I enjoyed the idea of clearing the brambles from the inside of the house. The fireplace became the focal point. Using the brambles as fuel for the fire seemed like a good way to welcome our community into the space. |
