Welcome to the HI~Arts MUSIC pages. Here you can find out about some of our current music projects, download music industry tip sheets, read band profiles in our archive section and get in touch with others in the industry through the music database. We are always happy to help with any enquiries you may have, or to try and put you in touch with the right people to talk to. You can send us new demos, gig reviews and live dates – either by post to the HI~Arts office or by e mail to John Saich (contact details below). We are also keen to hear about any new ideas for features on the web site.
Our links will take you to some of music industry partners, including Go Events, the Musicians Union and Channel 4 Ideasfactory, and there is a comprehensive further education directory at the BPI Music Course Database.
The Scottish Parliament now recognises the huge impact Scotland is having on the international music scene, and we want to make sure they know about the vast amount of new talent in the Highlands and Islands – which is why we want to hear from you. We can’t buy you new gear, or record an album for you, and we can’t guarantee you a record deal – but we might be able to help you get to where you want to be.
Contact John Saich via e-mail at john@hi-arts.co.uk , telephone 01463 717091, or send mail to John Saich, Music Development Coordinator, HI~Arts, 4th Floor, Ballantyne House, 84 Academy Street, Inverness IV1 1LU.
